"Mulaqaat" by Jammu IPTA with "Baithak"

Indian People's Theatre Association, Jammu, in its monthly program series organized a program "Mulaqaat", in collaboration with "Baithak", on 29.01.2017.

In the program two eminent urdu poets, Dr. Haseeb Soz and Mehshar Afridi were invited to interact with the select audience.Later on they recited their ghazals.In the second session, a solo performance based on Gulzar's "Raavi Paar" was also performed.

In the month of February, a multilingual mushayra was organised, which was followed by Deepak Virdi's directed Gursharan Singh's Punjabi Play " Baba Bolda Hai".

The presidium in the first session comprised of Pt.Vidya Rayta "Aasi", a veteran urdu poet, Arvinder Singh "Amn", Additional Secy. J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Janab Liaquat Jafri, Professor, Jammu University and a prominent Urdu poet and Sanjay Gupta, Gen. Secy. IPTA J&K. 

Gen. Secy. welcomed the guests and briefed the gathering regarding the activities of IPTA. The mushayra was conducted by Jb. Liaquat Jafri.The poets who recited their poems include Anwar Khan and Liaquat Jafri(urdu), Deepak 'Aarsi'(Digri),Kamal jeet, Krishan Kumar(Hindi),Dr. Baljeet Raina (Punjabi)and the mushayra concluded with the ghazals of Pt. Vidya Rattan.Hardeep Singh 'Deep' president IPTA Jammu presented the vote of thanks.
